Save Our Hammersmith

The site for the new development looks much the same as it did after the Magistrates’ Courts were demolished at the beginning of this year.

Old Hammersmith

This is what I saw yesterday at the top of the escalators on the first floor of Charing Cross Hospital. It was commissioned “for the benefit of elderly patients” and being one myself I drank it in, so to speak.

Another Hammersmith Horror

Another bit of interesting architecture falls to the wrecker’s ball. It was a vaguely Art Deco garage ( a miniature Hoover building) although it has been empty for a few years as a developer bought up the whole block.
