There is not going to be much here for the next week or so as today I go to Kyev or as you might prefer Kiev. Presidential election on Sunday.
We are bidden to the British Embassy this evening for Ferrero Rocher, which I’m looking forward to, and then on Thursday or Friday I will be sent, probably by train, to my area of observation. I’ve just finished Barchester Towers and am taking Doctor Thorne in case there are any longueurs in Ukraine.
Looking ahead, when I have read Anthony Trollope’s Barchester series dissecting 19th century morals I am minded to start on Strangers and Brothers. Might I be in the Guinness Book of Records if I read all eleven? Kenneth Rose, my new lodestone, thought the series superior to Dancers by Powell.
Have a wonderful and fascinating trip. We readers will await the results of all this impatiently!!!
