Spokes of scaffolding have sprouted on the south west corner of the West London Magistrates’ Court to prepare for demolition. I intend to keep a photographic record of progress, as I did when the LAMDA extension was built.
Palmerston’s house on Piccadilly has been empty since the In and Out club left in 1999. The freehold has changed hands a few times but only now has somebody got enough money to restore the building, hurrah!
Meanwhile across the road in the Green Park the Prince of Wales has been seeding. I’d be arrested if I did that.
I expect it will look lovely in the Spring.
Regarding legality, maybe we should seed the West London Magistrates Court Site after demolition (HRH Prince Charles could advise) and create a site of special scientific interest.
To date the funds provided by the developers outweigh the interests and concerns of residents and of Margravine Cemetery about the overdevelopment of the site. And that is legal?
